Bumbershoot Day 3: My day started off really boring and it didn’t pick up until I photographed Super Geek League and Foxy Shazam - those bands know how to put on a show.
Caught most of The Wombats’ set, they are one of my favorite bands. After I photographed it, i said ‘fuck it’ and went into the pit for My First Wedding and Moving to New York. It was exhilarating. I didn’t have time to go to their meet and greet which really bummed me out, but I ended up running into Matt Murphy at around 10 and we took a four minute stroll and tried to decide what to eat. He is a very chatty and nice guy. It was unexpected and a great way to end my day.
I sat down for an interview with LIGHTS and Beau happened to be there so I had him be a part of the interview as well despite his reluctancy. It was quite the interview and can’t wait for all of you to hear it. When i walked into the tent, both of them said “I remember you” at the same time - Lights remembered me from our interview and November and Beau remembered me photographing and meeting him at Warped in August. They are two of the most down to earth and nice people you will ever meet.
Despite a lot of the techno fans being in line for Skrillex, so many people showed up for her set. It was awesome to see. She is such a good performer and it is always a pleasure to photograph and watch her set.
Bumbershoot is over and I am sad.
