What if you could spray your clothes on in the morning?
Scientists are perfecting a garment that can be sprayed on, washed and worn again. This “instant clothing” system uses short fibers like wool and linen mixed with polymers that help bind them together. A solvent that evaporates on contact with a surface allows the fibers to be sprayed from an aerosol can and onto the body. The clothing’s texture can be varied by changing the fibers in the mixture and by applying different layers of spray.
And the best part? Your clothes can be recycled! A garment can be torn into pieces, dissolved and then sprayed onto the body over and over again.
